Dawson Intentions is a 1999 British-American film directed by Ridley Scott. The film was released theatrically everywhere except North and South America. The film would be Disney's first PG-13 animated film (under Dimension Films). It later premiered on ABC as part of the Wounderful World of Disney Block on Sunday May 20, 2001. Then aired on Disney Channel in August of the same year. At the time of the first airing on TV, the film was edited in order to maintain a TV-PG rating as it was rated PG-13 for "strong violence throughout, language, and some bloody images." Later television broadcasts of the film in the United States would have it rated TV-14-LV from its content.
