THIS IS A PARODY IN THE GOANIMATE COMMUNITY AND SHARES NO AFFILIATION TO THE OFFICIAL "Caillou" TRADEMARK BY PBS KIDS[]

"I’m going to Chuck E. Cheese('s)"
— Caillou before going to Chuck E. Cheese('s)

Caillou "Kayloo" Anderson is a primary character/subject for several GoAnimate-focused YouTube channels and the main villain of Cailloufication. He is a parody character of the canon character, Caillou, from the PBS Kids series, "Calliou". He first appeared in African Vultures Caillou Gets Grounded series. He is based off the character of the same name from the Canadian children's TV show that also shares the same name. Caillou is usually portrayed as a scheming troublemaker who often gets caught disrupting class, skipping school or important events, going to Chuck E. Cheese's, lying, cheating, or playing pranks on his siblings. Usually, he is punished by being grounded (usually for absurdly long periods of time) or a Punishment Day, which consists of various different and often extreme punishments done successively.

Personality[]

Though often portrayed as the antagonist of GoAnimate videos and the big bad of Cailloufication, several channels portray Caillou as more of a well-behaved child who gets rewarded for his actions. If this is the case, usually Rosie or Classic Caillou is the troublemaker, whose goal is to either get Caillou in trouble or sneaking out. In Mayor Zane’s series he doesn’t get grounded all the time. He’s getting better. On Norway GoAnimator, he's sometimes a troublemaker.

Caillou's canonical age and birthdate place him at 28 years old, though his age seems to vary depending on channel or circumstance, Caillou was 2 years old when his Original PBS TV series first premiered back in 1997. Taking into his current enrollment in a school, the fact that he's sent back from 12th grade in "Caillou gets held back" videos, and the fact that there's often a graduate forever card included in "Behavior Day" videos, we can assume Caillou is actually anywhere from 0-100 years old. However, his mannerisms, behavior, voice and other details across various videos indicate he could be much younger.

Appearance[]

Regardless of true age, his appearance remains pretty consistent across all channels and videos he appears in. He wears a yellow t-shirt with red trim and navy-blue shorts, as well as red shoes with white socks which have a single red band across their top. Earlier GoAnimate videos often depict him with medium-length brown hair, though newer depictions more often depict him as bald. He usually has a high-pitched children's voice, though he does make appearances with a much deeper male voice. He is usually depicted as slightly shorter than the adults.

There's no logical reason as to why he's always bald. In the show, it's likely because he is very young. However, for some reason, in a lot of Go-Animate videos he's portrayed as much older and still bald. A lot of speculation said that he might've had cancer or alopecia, but this was disproven. It was actually because he was based off of a 9-month old baby in the original illustrated children's book. (Source) Although, this does not explain why the show's creators simply didn't just give him hair in the first place. Obviously a 9-month-old would be bald. Therefore, it makes no sense.
