Starscream is a treacherous Wing Commander of the Decepticons who transforms into a jet, and was openly wanting to replace Megatron as the new leader of the Decepticons. Although getting the chance to lead, he was often less successful in that than Megatron. While Megatron frequently overlooks him as a threat, authors suggest such reasons for Megatron's tolerance of Starscream's presence as grudging respect for his scheming nature and precautionary observation. Even so, Starscream often quickly exhaust Megatron's patience; violent-yet-brief verbal and/or physical conflicts between the two are not uncommon.

Ultimately though, his betrayal of Megatron, by casting the latter out of Astrotrain, later came back to bite Starscream in the form of Galvatron, who was made from Megatron's body while still alive barely from his final battle with Optimus Prime by Unicron, a planet eating world that could turn into a huge robot, and blasted Starscream, whose body was reduced to just the legs and feet, but could exist as a spark, forever even without a body though it was restored by Unicron.

In the GoAnimate universe, Starscream was the only troublemaker who was a Decepticon, being in his Transformers Animated form, and was voiced by Wiseguy. Unlike his official incarnations, the wings on his back are not shown, mainly because he was made as a Comedy World character.

The idea for the Starscream character for GoAnimate starts as one of the two characters to be put into one of TacoComedian's videos by Coulden via request, along with Cosmo the Seedrian (probably voiced by Julie). In the video "Wolverine and the Ohters go to the Movies", Stasrscream was a one-time character in his channel.

This may give Coulden an idea to make TacoComedian to do a Grounded series on Starscream via making his new grounded series called "Starscream gets Grounded", starring Starscream as the main character living with his human parents (with mom and dad voiced by Catherine and Joey respectively).

He got plastic surgery on February 3, 2014, turning into Jetfire, being converted into an Autobot. Thats why Starscream died in a paradoxical way.
