The GoAnimate Classification rating system was first introduced in 2008 with G, PG, 14+, 18+, and AO. In 2009, The AO has been dropped and replaced by the R rating. G and PG are age advisory while 14+, 18+, and R are restricted ratings.
The ratings are:
- G (General Audiences)
- PG (Parental Guidance Recommended)
- 14+ (Recommended for ages 14 and above. Not suitable for persons under 14 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- 18+ (Recommended for ages 18 and above. Not suitable for persons under 18 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- R (Restricted to Adults 18 and over only)
